Breeders and owners of Norwich Terriers are sure to state that the breed is one of the most wonderful dogs. The Norwich Terrier is suited for families that live in cities. Compact size of the dog allows it to be kept in an apartment. The Norwich Terrier is very active and enjoys spending time outside. Nevertheless, it will do OK without much exercise for a few days. Hence, the breed is not demanding in terms of walks.
Care should be taken to explore the breed prior to buying a dog. It should be kept in mind that Norwich Terriers are great diggers. They need exercise and tend to escape when off their leash. The breed has a mind of its own. Hence, skill is required to train the dog.
The Norwich Terrier is generally easy to own. The dog is non-aggressive towards other pets. The only inconvenience is his liking for much barking. Though the Norwich Terrier is not suited for personal protection, it finds much pleasure in showing who the boss is. Norwich Terriers enjoy human company, which shows in their keen eyes and activity.

What is really great about the breed is that Norwich Terriers are generally robust. They can suffer from eye disorders, though. Yet, they do not need much veterinary care.
